Schedule an In-person or Telehealth (Video/Phone) Appointment

OVERVIEW

Appointments can be scheduled either In-person at a clinic or via Telehealth through video or phone consultations. This article explains how Case Managers select the accepted appointment type in Kawaconn to set up a suitable appointment.

CHOOSE AN ACCEPTED APPOINTMENT

Accepted Appointment Types include:

    • In-person – Only allows appointments conducted directly at the clinic.
    • Telehealth – Only allows remote appointments via video or phone.
    • In-person/Telehealth – The specialist allows you to choose either option based on your preference. When selecting this option, use the Require Telehealth field to specify the appointment type:
      • No (default) = In-person appointment
      • Yes = Telehealth appointment

For Telehealth appointments, two options will be available:

    • Video Consultation Requested: This may be conducted via Kawaconn Video, Zoom, Teams, or other platforms, depending on the specialist.
    • Phone Consultation Requested: You can choose Client Mobile or Client Phone, based on the details entered in Claimant Details. To use a different number, select Other Number and manually enter the number.

Note:

  • Once a case is successfully created, the Accepted Appointment Type cannot be changed.
  • For the Video Consultation Requested option, after the case is created, Kawaconn will automatically generate a video link in the Telehealth Information section.
