Send Dictation Files to Typist
Once the dictation has been uploaded, if the Medicolegal Provider is responsible for typing the report, you can send the dictation to typists.
- Go to the Assessment Detail
- Navigate to the Dictation & Report → Transcribing & Report Typing → Dictation Files to Typist
- Select a contractor from the dropdown menu to allocate the typist.
- Block View to Typist becomes available once a Contractor is selected and Dictation Sent to Typist is ticked.
Tip: Tick Block View to Typist if you want to prevent the typist from viewing or editing the case.
- Upload dictation instructions, report templates, and report samples where necessary.
Tip: You can click on Attach Templates/Samples from Specialist Profile to automatically attach report templates from the specialist’s profile, with the condition that the Type of report on the case matches with the Type of report on the specialist’s profile.
- Tick Typist under Send Dictation Files to send an email notification. A confirmation message will then appear for verification.
- Click Save at the bottom to save the progress. The remaining area of this segment is for Typists to interact.
Note: At this stage, Typists can log into the portal to view/download paperwork, report instructions, samples, and templates and upload typed reports. Once the report draft is uploaded, staff will be notified immediately.
